Transcript
Managing psoriasis can be challenging because at its root, at its very core, it's an autoimmune disease.
So like any other autoimmune disease, you really have to manage all the elements that are aggravating it. And we know when we think back to the triggers of psoriasis,
we know we have to manage things like stress, the types of food you're eating, how much sugar you're getting in. Those will definitely impact a psoriasis outbreak.
There are also a lot of topicals, though, that are used to manage psoriasis. Some of them are topical immunosuppressants
that you would apply directly to where the lesions are, that help control how angry those lesions are, or how many times you'll break out.
So it's a mix of managing all the different aspects of your health. Managing it topically, managing it internally. So you really have a formula for success.
Otherwise you are just sort of playing this game of switching medications, or switching treatments, without really long term success.
