However, all these major side effects are even better than some of the side effects from the older medications like methotrexate,
which could cause hepatotoxicity, which is your liver damage. [POP MUSIC]
What are the two to three minor side effects you should expect with biologics? Number one is injection site bruising, or pain,
or burning in that area. Number two, an injection site rash that could happen in the area. And number three, headache.
Some of the major side effects of psoriasis biologics include an infusion reaction like fainting or shock.
A second side effect would be TB reactivation, or an underlying infection that you have that comes out after the biologic causes immunosuppression.
The third thing that can happen is congestive heart failure, and lastly, lymphoma. Lymphoma is a bone marrow cancer,
and that can be due to the immunosuppression. However, all these major side effects are even better than some of the side effects
from the older medications like methotrexate, which could cause hepatotoxicity, which is your liver damage, and could also
cause bone marrow suppression. [AUDIO LOGO]
