Healthy living begins in the household, says HealthMaker Linda Fogg-Phillips. In this video she talks about the importance of what we teach our children.
The answer I think to that, and I keep going back to the home but it really comes down to the family environment. What are our children taught? I'll take one of my grandsons wrote out a cute little schedule of his workout schedule. He was six years old and he had a picture drawing of how many push ups he was going to do or how many times he was going to ride his bike round the block, how many jumping jacks he was going to do.
It comes back to what are our children taught in the context of their household? What is the environment teaching them and are we as parents and adults teaching our children healthy principles and healthy lifestyles? I think we get going so fast that we forget that that's really where the rubber hits the road, is in the household is in the home.
