Hi I'm Dr. Tanya Altman with smart tips to help you raise healthy confident and happy teens. Here's a top 10 list of healthy habits you can teach them whether you're talking about food or other substances, remember that you control what goes in your body. Maintain a healthy smile, floss and brush for at least two minutes twice a day, catch enough Zs, sleep 8 to 9 hours a night.

Aim to have your waist size less than half your height. Exercise everyday walking for 30 minutes counts. Don't text while driving and always wear a seatbelt. Be smart about how you act online and via text. Wear a helmet for sports that require them. Find a buddy to do healthy things with.
