Hi, I'm Dr.Oz, and here's a smart health tip to protect your eyes. To keep cataracts from clouding your vision as you age, load your plate with lots of Vitamin C rich foods. Colorful stuff like broccoli, bell peppers, oranges and strawberries. A study from India found that people with high levels of Vitamin C in their blood have a much lower risk of developing cataracts and it was the Vitamin C from the food rather the sumpliments that was linked to lower cataract risks.

A healthy and lots of foods and vegetables also helps you diet other risks for cataracts like high blood pressure, diabetes and being over weight and of course you should skip smoking and always wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from cataract causing UV rays. Cataracts affect more than 20 million Americans over the age of 40, and by 80 more than half of us will have cataracts.
