Eat Better to Breathe Better

Hi, I'm Dr. Miller here with some delicious ways to breathe better if you have asthma or COPD, what you eat can make easier easy for your lungs. Load up on these five foods, enjoy your coffee but go for the caffeinated variety if you're okay with it. Studies suggests that caffeine can help open bronchial tubes for up to four hours, that's good because they become constricted when you have asthma or COPD, eat more oranges.

A preliminary study found that kids with asthma wheeze less when they ate vitamin C rich fruits such as oranges. That's because vitamin C has anti-inflammatory property. The vitamin E and nuts may help open your airwaves and reduce inflammation. Onions are loaded with flavournoids which help fight inflammation, they also can protect the lining of your lungs and bronchial tubes from damage caused by pollution, enjoy some yogurt especially the kind that contains pro-biotic.
