Sick? Don't Go Into the Office!

Hi, I'm Dr. Miller with an important health tip, especially if you have a cold. Next time you're overcome with a sour throat, sniffles or so ill that you can't get out of bed, stay home, you'll do your immune system a favor. In one study people who came to work sick at least six times within the last year were 50% more likely to need extended sick leave later.

If you don't take time to rest and recuperate, your body gets more and more run down. Of course sometimes you really don't have time to be sick. Maybe you don't have enough sick days or you might have big projects that can't wait. If that's the case, see if you can work from home. You'll recover more quickly and be less likely to make your co-worker sick.
