A recent study that compared women with ovarian cancer to those who did not, found out using any form of birth control reduced the risk of ovarian cancer by 40 to 65%. This included tubal ligation, vasectomy as well as IUDs and diaphragms. Some theorize that sperm itself may increase inflammation and increase the risk of ovarian cancer.
However there may be many other factors at play.
