Can the Birth Control Pill Increase My Risk of Blood Clots If I'm Over 35?

Read Transcript

My question is, over 35, I heard there's concerns about blood clots. Is that true? Well, there is increased risk of blood clots in women who take the birth control pill, but if you don't have a history of having had blood clots either in the leg or in the lung, even after 35 the risk is low.

Thank you.
