Jogging can help you live longer, according to a recent study from Denmark. In this video, integrative medicine specialist Robin Miller, MD, shares the details of the study and tips for how to safely run for your life.
Is jogging good for your health? Well, the recent study done in Denmark has found that jogging can prolong you life. Regular jogging prolong the lives of men by 6.2 years and women by 5.6 years. The researchers recommend that you jog at an average or slow pace for between one and two and half hours a week.
So then how would you recommend that someone start the process of jogging? First of all, do it slowly and ask you doctor how to do it or go to a trainer and find out how to do it, because if you haven't jogged before, you could really mess up your knees, your hips, everything, if you don't do it properly.
Your husband is an average runner/ jogger, yes? He is, but he doesn't stretch very well before he runs and that's really important.
