Most of the time the diagnosis of diabetes is made by a physician when a patient comes in for a routine visit, an annual physical or something like that and many times if the person has access to regular healthcare and is getting tested on an annual basis or even more frequently you'll see the blood sugar is rising steadily before the diagnosis is actually made I mean, often times people have a lead time of several years before they're formally diagnosed of diabetes during which they know it's an issue.
