Can Diabetes Increase My Risk of Depression?

All right. Diabetes has an interesting relationship with depression. A lot of people go around and think that diabetics are more depressed. One of the problems with depression and diabetes is that hyperglycemia, high blood sugars, the symptoms that come with that mimic depression. When you the two diagnosis side by side and the symptoms, the symptoms are almost identical.

So one of the things that happens is that a diabetic their blood sugar out of control, they may seem depressed, but if that person gets the blood sugar back and control the depression may left. So with that peace a person who has diabetes isn't necessarily going to diabetes is an impacting depression but due to the blood sugar increase may actually cause the symptoms of depression.
