Hi, I'm Dr. Miller. Here are three ways to enjoy your favorite comfort foods, and
keep your blood sugar in the healthy zone. I'm talking pasta, peanut butter, and fries.
Sound too good to be true? Not if you pick the right kind. The key to indulging in pasta and keeping blood sugar steady is
to choose whole grain variety. They raise your blood sugar much more slowly than refined grain pastas.
Whole grain pastas, also are a good source of magnesium which helps lower your diabetes risk. If you love peanut butter, you're in luck.
A recent study revealed that people who eat an average of five tablespoons of peanut butter a week have a
21% lower risk of diabetes. PBs, healthy unsaturated fat helps stabilize blood sugar and
improve insulin sensitivity, and it contains magnesium too. Love your fries? Just trade the white potatoes
for a more blood sugar friendly starch, like sweet potatoes. They have a lower glycemic index than white spots making them easier on your blood sugar.
For even healthier option, choose oven baked sweet potato fries. To learn more ways to nourish your health, watch and share
