Hi, I'm Dr. Oz with today's smart health tip, this is some sweet advice. And you've probably heard a lot about the benefits of dark chocolate. If that's not your favorite kind, here's some good news. It turns out, all types of chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, even cocoa can help reduce your risk of cardiac-metabolic disorders.

That refers to a cluster of aging conditions including heart disease, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. Eating a little chocolate everyday, helps reduce your risk of heart disease by 37%, and risk of stroke by 29%. It also helps slash your diabetes risk by a third. Now what's so great about chocolate? Well, it's full of antioxidants called Polyphenols.

The same good stuff in blueberries, and wine, and green tea. Polyphenols fight the inflammation to preserve your memory and eventually pain, but a little chocolate goes a long way. So enjoy it in moderation. My favorite chocolate is made of 70% or more cocoa for that most Polyphenols, an ounce or less a day is plenty, that's about a 150 calories.
