Read Transcript

Hi, I'm Dr. Oz. If you suffer from fibromyalgia, you know that managing headaches, muscle and joint pain and other symptoms can be ideally challenging. Here is a three part plan that can help you break that pain cycle. Find the right drugs and non-drugs, work with your doctor to find medications that ease your pain and stiffness and help you sleep.

This might take a little trial and error, also experiment with massage, yoga, relaxation exercises, cold or heat application, aroma therapy and acupuncture. They have all been shown to relieve fibromyalgia symptoms. You can also stay active. Aerobic exercise for 30 minutes or more, they helps sooth tender joints and joint pain.

Studies show that people with fibromyalgia, who do modern intense daily work outs feel less like they've been run over by a truck. Maintain a nighttime routine, have a regular bed time, relax with a little night music and a soothing room temperature and avoid the TV or laptop before bed or their stimulators they can make it hard to fall asleep.
