Teri Robert

Bio

Teri Robert began her career as a writer and migraine patient advocate when her own migraine disease spun out of control in the late 1990s. Faced with debilitating migraines and failed medical care, Robert searched the Internet for answers, only to find that there was no one site that provided the resources she was looking for. Robert joined About.com as its headaches and migraines writer and… More remained there for nearly seven years before joining the HealthCentral Network to lead its migraine site. Today she also writes for Migraine.com and provides patient education articles for the American Headache Society. Teri is a co-founder of the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy, which sponsors a yearly Headache on the Hill event to lobby Congress about issues vital to those with migraine and other headache disorders. She is also a co-founder and the chairman of the American Headache and Migraine Association, the new patient-driven, patient-focused nonprofit branch of the American Headache Society. Less
