Both my parents died early in life due to lifestyle choices. I have a grandson that I want to be around for a long time to be an influence in his life and be able to keep up with him.
I've lost 57 pounds to date and want to lose another 10 pounds. But more than that, I want to get my cholesterol levels to a decent level (although my HDL is higher than normal and my LDL is lower than normal, the total amount is high and I am currently on cholesterol drugs).
I'm a chronic insomniac and have recently gone off my sleeping meds, as they do not promote the deep and restful sleep I feel I need. I'm doing better and feel with the improved lifestyle changes I'm making, eventually I'll become a better sleeper, and my quality of life will improve even more.
