Peter DeLucia

Bio

Peter DeLucia holds a Masters degree in Public Administration and has dedicated his career to public health and public service. He appears regularly on "The Dr. Oz Show" and various other media outlets and is widely known for his expertise in Public Health. A Westchester County New York Health Department employee since 1993, Peter is currently the Assistant Commissioner of Health of the Bureau of Public Health Protection. Peter directs public health program and code enforcement activities such as food service inspection and protection, outbreak investigations, indoor air pollution and laws regulating tobacco usage, lead poisoning and primary prevention, rabies prevention, insect and arthropod disease control including west nile virus prevention, bathing facilities, beach water quality sampling along the Long Island Sound, Hudson River and inland lake bathing beaches, children’s camps, temporary residences, and tanning facilities. Peter is also Deputy Town Supervisor and Councilman for the Town of Lewisboro, NY and was first elected in 2005.
