Mark King


Mark King has written about living with HIV since testing positive in 1985. His blog, My Fabulous Disease, chronicles his life as an HIV-positive gay man recovering from substance abuse. King also writes for The Huffington Post and is the author of A Place Like This, his memoir of life in Los Angeles during the dawn of the AIDS epidemic. During King’s tenure as the director of education and communications at AID Atlanta, he began writing columns and essays on HIV and gay life in general, and became a sought-after speaker for public forums and conferences.
