Liz Highleyman is a freelance writer, editor and health educator whose work spans public health, hepatitis B and C, HIV/AIDS and sex education, among other topics. She was named editor-in-chief of HIVandHepatitis.com in February 2011. Highleyman started her career in AIDS advocacy as a member of ACTUP/Boston in the late 1980s. She has written for publications including Achieve, GMHC Treatment Issues, HCV Advocate, POZ and The Well Project. She is a former editor of the Bulletin of Experimental Treatments for AIDS, published by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and former health editor for Ask Jeeves (now Ask.com).
