The UHG Move It and Lose It Challenge isn't officially over until Sunday, but today's my last post specifically for the UHG Challengers.

•For those of you who achieved success during the Challenge:

Congratulations! I applaud your commitment to your goals, and am truly impressed at how much you've been able to achieve.  Whether you've lost weight, lost inches, improved other health measures like blood pressure or blood sugar levels, you've made a real difference for your future. You haven't just made a difference for your own future, you've made a difference for the future of your family, too. I'm so proud of you. Well done.

You might not realize it yet, but you're a role model. You've got the tools, and you know how to use them to get the results that you hoped for. Now's not the time to quit! Keep it up... don't lose momentum now that the Challenge is over. Use your success to inspire others to believe that they, too, can make a change.  You've already experienced how vital social support is to your success. People are desperate to believe that it can be done without pills or gimmicks or tricks. Let them see how you did it the old-fashioned way. Reach back to someone who's behind you and show them how diet and exercise works, and that it can work for them as well.

•For those of you who may not have found the results you wanted:

I'd encourage you to take a quiet moment and ask yourself what got in the way. Lifestyle change can be tremendously difficult, and sometimes even the promise of a week's vacation isn't enough to overcome the challenges that life throws in our way. There are a lot of reasons why this program may not have been the right thing at the right time for you.

So what obstacle got in your way? Did you start off believing that you could do this, but then sputter out?  Do you blame the software interface? Did your old habits and friends and family overwhelm any intentions you had for change? Are you really ready to change? Whatever the reason: When you take the time to truly understand what got in the way, only then can you truly understand what you are up against. I encourage you to gain a better understanding of the enemy. You can't change what you don't acknowledge.

Wherever you are in your process, ShareCare and the Trainers are still here for you. We want to help you take the next steps on your journey.

The Challenge may be over, but your life continues. Make it the best life possible.

Namaste.
