How many times you walked by the Diet section in Barens and Noble or Borders and find Diet Books that promise 15-20 lb weight loss in 4 weeks, or Diet Books that say “ Eat all your favorite foods and still lose weight”. Let’s face it, our favorite food put us in the situation at first place where we need Diet books, we wouldn’t need these  books if we would think about food as Favorite, beside I don’t think that anybody’s favorite food is steamed broccoli or Irish steel cut oats. Our favorite foods are Burgers with Fries, pancakes and Double chocolate cakes.

Why is it so hard to choose broccoli over Bagel when we know that the latest is not good for us?  Since when eating become pleasure? Why do we live to eat, instead of eating to live? If we find the answers to these questions maybe we can change our diet and life for good, and lose those unwanted pounds forever without ever dieting.

 Few years ago I used to be addicted to food and didn’t even know about it. I used to eat if I was sad, used to eat if I was bored, I used to eat all the time for all the reason because it made me feel happy for a minute or so, but when the feeling was gone I could eat again and be happy again. It took me a while until I realized what I was doing to myself. Eating was my only pleasure, I was in a relationship with Food, in a Bad relationship with Bad food. I was living to eat until I didn’t wanted to live any more. One day I decided to change my relationship with Food.

I started to look at food different, I turned my bad relationship into a good one. I have changed my Mind about food. I have realized that all I need to do is feed my body. My body doesn’t care about bagels with cream cheese, pizza or soda, all it cares about is proteins, carbs, fats, water, vitamins and minerals. At the same time started to look for pleasure in other places like in a good book, a walk in the park, working out in the gym, having fun with friends, and before no time I was addicted to the gym and reading and forget all about the food.

It all started with the Mind, who would of thought that small part of my body has such a big power over me?

Change your Mind, change your Diet, change your Life !!! Don’t let food additives, chemicals, flavor enhancers, and yellow 60 designed by scientists in laboratories take control over you. You own your Body, You decide what you put in it. If you take good care of it, it will serve you for a long and happy Life.
