Dawn Saunders

The Albuquerque School of Massage Therapy (Q School) & Health Sciences is owned by Dawn M. Saunders. Dawn is a passionate, competitive woman who values education. As a collegiate softball coach and massage therapy instructor, her students could feel her love of whatever subject the day called for. She is active in the profession and has attended two massage therapy research conferences, two national conventions and a massage therapy educational summit. She has reviewed a massage therapy textbook and has enjoyed mentoring massage therapists who are trying to start a business of their own.

She has invested herself in the Albuquerque massage therapy community. She has helped many graduates find jobs and hourly massage room rental by forming the Albuquerque Massage Therapy Network (AMTN), whose purpose is to bring massage therapy resources together in order to help therapists make it through this difficult economy. She has shown therapists how to market themselves during community massage events like: 1) The Peak 100.3 Radiothon to support the UNM Children’s Hospital (a three-day event where volunteers, families of hospitalized children, and hospital staff received free chair massage) for the last two years; 2) Movie/TV Show on-set chair massage for the hard-working film crews (ongoing); 3) U.S. Indoor Track & Field National Championships (early 2010).

Over the years, she has nurtured lifetime relationships with friends, former students, and massage therapy patients who have taught her that family is not always blood related. She lives, loves, works and plays hard!
