Study Description:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether using the Sharecare Beta smartphone app for a certain period of time can help reduce stress.

The Sharecare Beta app monitors stress indicators present in voice activity during phone calls made by the users, called fractals and provides users a stress intensity and mindset reading after every call.

According to the PEW report "US Smartphone Use 2015", 64% of American adults now own a smartphone of some kind.

Such widespread prevalence of smartphones presents an opportunity to utilize them as channels to easily deliver various health interventions to a large segment of the population.

One such opportunity is to use them for stress reduction. With the help of this research study we hope to be able to collect de-identified user data to help with the evaluation and improvement on one such application for smartphones, the Sharecare beta app.
