Should one drug be enough to lower my blood pressure?

Most people with high blood pressure will actually need more than one drug to lower their blood pressure to an acceptable level. It may take some trial and error to find the right combination. If your blood pressure is above 160/110 mm Hg your doctor will probably prescribe two antihypertensives right off the bat. Otherwise they will start with one and add others accordingly. If you experience any side effects let your doctor know right away.
