Is there a cure for Yersinia enterocolitica food poisoning?

While there is no cure for it, Yersinia enterocolitica food poisoning is usually a self-limiting illness that does not require medication and which generally clears up on its own. In severe cases, some people require antibiotics. These are used mostly for people who have underlying medical conditions, weak immune systems, or serious disease. Antibiotics generally do not shorten the course of mild disease.
