How can I stop craving unhealthy foods?

To stop craving unhealthy foods you need to break your snacking habit. Cravings can stem from habit or actual hunger. If you habitually snack (and usually snack unhealthy foods) then you can try to break your habit by distracting yourself. Try the following:
  • Keep a diary of when you snack most, usually if you are sitting watching TV, then break your habit by going for a walk or doing something else.
  • Chew gum or snack on healthier foods to satisfy the oral cravings.
  • Drink more water to tell your hunger hormones that you are somewhat full and do not need food.
