It is important to know about some of the risk factors associated with this stage of your pregnancy. These risk factors or complications include edema, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, iron deficiency anemia, and preterm labor. Additionally, you should understand that mild to severe back pain is a normal part of pregnancy, as is leg cramping. While there are ways to help with the pain, there aren't too many ways to prevent it.
