What prenatal care do I need during week 26 of pregnancy?


At 26 weeks the woman may be undergoing testing for gestational diabetes. This is a good time to start doing pelvic rocks to ease the back ache associated with the growing uterus. Otherwise continue the nutritious eating, good fluid intake, exercise and sleep habits that were started earlier in the pregnancy.

Although this stage of pregnancy can be busy for the mother, you should make sure that you are getting the rest that you need. During this time, you are at risk for increasing your blood pressure through unneeded stress. This stress can lead to poor sleep, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, depression, and overall worse health. So the best prenatal care is to take it easy eat and sleep well!
