By week 19, your baby is about 6 1/2 inches long and weighs nearly 9 ounces. The eyes are moving under the eyelids, and your baby may begin hiccupping! Fat is continuing to develop under your baby's immature skin as well as a waxy coating on it to protect it. Your baby's hair is starting to grow too! As your baby continues growing, you're likely to notice weight gain each week. Remember that weight gain is normal and it's important to keep eating well and exercising as much as you can. If you have any questions about what you're experiencing at this stage of your second trimester, talk to your doctor.
