At 15 week the woman is beginning to look and feel pregnant. As the uterus enlarges and moves into the abdominal cavity the woman's center of gravity shifts and the body constantly has to realign itself to remain upright. If an amniocentesis is going to be done, this is the week to get ready.

During your second trimester you're likely visiting your doctor at least once a month. At week 15, your doctor will measure your baby's and check the heartbeat by using listening devices. Your doctor may want to measure your sugar and protein levels. If you have Rh negative blood and the father has Rh positive blood, or if diabetes runs in your family, your doctor will want to run other tests.
