A walking belt is a great tool to have. Many belts allow room to store your water bottle. Having water with you on a walk will help keep you hydrated which will prevent dehydration. A walking belt may also have compartments for your cell phone and keys. Having both of these will be ideal. Your cell phone is always great to have in case of emergency and having your keys will allow you to lock your doors.

A walking belt or gait belt is a belt that is used by a physical therapist or a rehabilitation specialist to assist a person getting out of a chair and keeping them balanced during standing and/or walking. The rehab specialist can hold the patient via the belt which gives them good control and stability of the person during walking and functional activities when the person is on their feet.
