Biotin is also known as vitamin B-7, vitamin H, coenzyme R, and W factor. Unfortunately there is very little data about the recommended daily requirements of biotin in healthy people or people with specific medical conditions. The established Adequate Intake (AI) is 7mcg to 35mcg per day depending on age.

Also, since biotin hasn't undergone the efficacy or safety studies that FDA-approved medications undergo, claims about what doses work and how they work cannot be made.
