Does vitamin B6 interact with other medications?

Vitamin B6 decreases the effectiveness of levodopa, which is used to treat Parkinson's disease. However, the drug carbidopa can prevent this interaction from occurring. Vitamin B6 supplements can also interact with the cancer medication altretamine, the anti-seizure medications Dilantin and phenobarbital, and the heart medication Cordarone. Tell your doctor about any medications, vitamins or supplements that you are taking before you take vitamin B6 tablets.
