What can I do to bring my B12 up?

Talk to your doctor about the best ways to bring up your body's levels of vitamin B12. Your doctor may recommend simply consuming more foods that contain vitamin B12, including canned and fresh fish, red meat, breakfast cereals, eggs and dairy products.

Taking supplements of vitamin B12 orally may also help raise your B12 levels. Your doctor may recommend injections of vitamin B12 if blood tests reveal that you are deficient in vitamin B12 or if you have a medical condition that makes you unable to absorb B12 normally in your digestive tract. Do not take vitamin B12 or any dietary supplement without consulting your doctor first.
