It can be difficult caring for a child with an ear infection, but there are some steps you can take to make things easier for everyone. Provide the child with plenty of low impact distractions to take their mind off the pain, such as games or books. Lastly, don't overlook the value of providing plenty of tender loving care. As you are caring for the child, monitor their progress; if they're not getting better after a few days, or if you see blood or pus leaking from their ear canal, make an appointment to see your doctor.
