How do medications treat objective vertigo and dizziness?

Your doctor will want to treat the cause of your vertigo and dizziness and not just the symptoms of each with medication. In most cases, medications to treat vertigo itself are not recommended. Drugs are especially not recommended to treat vertigo in infants, children, and elderly people because of possible side effects such as feelings of agitation.
