Does verrucous carcinoma run in families?

Though little is known about its exact causes, verrucous carcinoma doesn't seem to run in families. Most of the risk factors for the disease seem to be environmental, such as chewing or smoking tobacco. Other risk factors, such as having the human papillomavirus, don't run in families, either. Although the cells that cause verrucous carcinoma may have genetic mutations, those abnormalities don't seem to be passed on from parents to children.
