Can vaginal cancer be prevented?

The causes of vaginal cancer are not that clear, so how to prevent getting the disease is not that clear, either. However, since HPV (humanpapillovirus) virus is known to be linked to vaginal cancer, and since it is sexually transmitted, limiting your sexual partners is something women can do to decrease their risk. You should also regularly get tested for sexually transmitted diseases and infections and encourage your partners to do the same. A vaccine to prevent getting some types of HPY is also available.
