Who should not receive Typhim Vi?

Typhim Vi should not be given to people who are infected with typhoid or who are typhoid carriers. People who had an allergic reaction to a past typhoid vaccine, or with known allergies to any of its ingredients, should not receive Typhim Vi. There is not enough information to know if the typhoid vaccine is safe for children under two years of age, pregnant women or breastfeeding women. Parents of young children, pregnant women and breastfeeding women, should talk to their doctor about the vaccine.
