Anyone allergic to any ingredient in hepatitis B immune globulin shouldn't receive this medication. People with a blood disorder, such as hemophilia, or if you have an immunoglobulin A deficiency, should not receive hepatitis B immune globulin. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should discuss the risks and benefits with their doctor first, because it is not known whether hepatitis B immune globulin may harm a developing fetus or nursing infant.
