Your BCG vaccine is normally given one time only and is seldom unsuccessful. Your doctor or healthcare provider will give you a TB skin test to check your response after two or three months. At that time, the doctor will be able to determine if you need a second dose of BCG vaccine to protect you against tuberculosis.
