The BCG vaccine is given by injection into the skin, called intradermal injection. Your doctor or healthcare provider will administer the vaccine. Keep the area around the shot clean and dry for 24 hours after you receive the vaccine. Make sure you keep the area around the injection clean until you cannot see see where the shot was given.
