If your parents are 65 or older, and it has been five or more years since they had the pneumococcal vaccine, they should consider getting a second dose. They should talk with their doctor before getting the vaccine. They should not receive more than two doses of PPSV23. Talk to your parents' doctor about their medical history and risk factors.
