Your child may be having an allergic reaction to pneumococcal PCV7 vaccine if he shows signs such as high fever or unusual behavior. Other symptoms that show within a few hours of receiving the shot may include:
  • dizziness
  • weakness
  • hives
  • hoarseness or wheezing
  • fast heartbeat
  • paleness
Call your child's doctor right away if your child has any of these symptoms.

Call 911 for difficulty breathing, swelling of the mouth, lips or tongue or swelling of the throat.
