This is simple: pain when you pee (dysuria), sense of urgency (Gotta go! Gotta go!), frequent urination, having to go at night (nocturia), and blood in the urine. Any or all of those symptoms warrant a visit to your doctor to get checked out. UTIs can also mimic STDs; the symptoms may be similar or the same, UTIs are easy to ID with a urine test and easy to treat with antibiotics. There’s a home test available in drugstores that measures nitrites (the breakdown product of bacteria), so you can sometimes diagnose yourself.
