Caucasian women over the age of 50 are most at risk of urethral cancer. However, this disease can affect other people, too. Adults over 50 or 60 have the highest risk of contracting the disease. People who have already had bladder cancer or have a history of urinary tract infections may be at risk for this condition. Certain strains of human papillomavirus are also thought to increase your risk for urethral cancer.
