Undescended testis can be effectively treated or even correct itself. Most cases correct themselves within the first four months after birth. If medical attention is needed, surgery or hormone therapy can correct the problem. The only complication that may arise is that the doctor may find the undescended testis to be malformed or damaged and have to be removed entirely, or else the doctor may find the testicle never fully formed and has been absent since birth.
