How long should I wait before treating undescended testis?

Although undescended testis usually corrects itself, at a certain point if nothing's happened, treatment will be needed. By four months, most cases that correct themselves will have done so. However, you can wait up until your son is a year old before seeking treatment. Just be aware that early treatment may help reduce later long-term side effects.
