Does depression worsen with the intake of prilosec or sucralfate?

You seem to be concerned about how drugs like sucralfate and Prilosec affect depression. Depression is not a side effect of sucralfate.  Sucralfate works mostly locally, which means it coats the stomach directly and does not go into the body.  It should be separated from all other medications by two hours to prevent decreased absorption of the other medications.  81% of iGuard patients do feel the good effects of Prilosec outweigh any negatives.  In our survey of iGuard members taking Prilosec there have not been any reports of depression with Prilosec.  According to the Prilosec product labeling, depression has not been reported as a side effect.
